About The Artist
The artist was born in Nigeria during the Baby Boomer era, a time marked by significant social and political change, and his early years unfolded during the historic period surrounding the Nigerian Civil War, often referred to as the Biafran War. Growing up in this environment shaped his sensitivity to themes of human struggle, resilience, and transformation that would later emerge powerfully in his artistic expression.
A widely recognized artist and a modern abstract impressionist whose work is deeply rooted in emotional and mythical expression. His paintings and mixed-media works move beyond literal representation, inviting viewers to experience color, texture, and form as vehicles for inner reflection.
One of the defining characteristics of his process is a fascination with materials. He incorporates found objects, textiles, fabrics, pigments, and diverse types of paint into compositions — layered and combined to create surfaces rich in texture and meaning. Each piece becomes a visual narrative reflecting fragments of personal history, cultural heritage, and spiritual insight.
Working from his studio in Houston, they continue to explore the boundaries between abstraction and emotional storytelling. Their practice is both experimental and intuitive, merging traditional painting methods with unconventional materials. The result is artwork that feels simultaneously contemporary and deeply personal.
